The magazine of the American medical association (JAMA) has published the first advertising of cigarettes in 1933, having declared that it has made it only "after degree thorough examination, in which cigarettes have been used by doctors in practice". These announcements proceeded 20 years. The same year, Chesterfield has begun display of announcements in the State of New York medical magazine with the statement that its cigarettes "it is simply pure, as you drink water... And almost untouched human hands".
In medical magazines and in the popular mass media, by one of the most notorious slogans to advertising of cigarettes it has been connected with mark Camel: "more doctors are smoked by Kemel, than any other cigarettes". Campaign has begun in 1946, and has run for eight years in magazines and on radio. Announcements the following message is included:
"Family doctors, surgeons, diagnosticians, throats and a nose experts, doctors in all branches of medicine... In total 113597 doctors... Following questions have been asked:" That cigarettes you smoke? And more they named camels their smoke, than any other cigarettes! Three independent research groups, has found that it can become the fact. You see, doctors too smoke just for the hell of it. It is full taste a camel as attractive to taste of the doctor, that yours... This wonderful means softness Camel as much on a throat, that yours.
Smoking and advertising of smoking must be banned from all over the country. It is very harmful as we know and killing our youth and children. For its substitute we are having Vaporizers these days.
